Life away from the streets, a Socio-Educative Programme In FCP

On the 29th of October, 2016 we organised a socio-educative programme in FCP for our beneficiaries.

By this programme, we intend to create an awareness among the beneficiaries on socialisation, respecting each other, and “fun-learning”. Our reintegrated school going beneficiaries joined the newly recruited “pre-school classes” beneficiaries for this programme.

Since there are still coming new beneficiaries, recruited from the streets, we decided to start the programme with a day full of games in FCP so that the children can get to know each other better and could feel a sense of belongingness as one big family. After the morning devotion, Bro Ibrahim, who is responsible for the organisation of this programme, introduced the children to the line of activities for the day and separated them into two groups.

They had a lot of fun with games like sack race, football and rope skipping and at the end of the day, after an incredible neck-and-neck-race team B scored 243 and team A 244 points.

We ended our day with a delicious lunch of Jollof and a few little chops.

Our Beneficiaries went home with a high team spirit and a smile on their faces.

We are all looking forward to subsequent educative and fun filled programmes and their impact on the children.
