Holy Thursday Programme 2017

Holy Thursday Programme 2017

Rays of Hope Centre, as a Catholic based NGO, was celebrating Holy Thursday in WEM Centre. The children enjoyed a programme led by the Educational Officer Rev. Sister Tonia Orji in Ayikuma to remember the significance of the Holy Thursday.

The service started with an opening prayer and the day’s reading led by two beneficiaries and the female Caregiver. Sister Tonia went on with giving an insight on the “washing of feet service” as Jesus did to His disciples and its relevance to Christians in commemorating the death and resurrection of our Lord Jesus and His love for the human beings.

Afterwards, the children as well as the staff put the service into practice by washing the feet of their sitting neighbour. Everyone showed the love for their brothers and sisters by this action happily. The programme ended with some worship songs.

It was great to see the children and the staff celebrating this service together as Jesus did with His disciples.
